The Tannery Depot General Store is the place to shop when visiting the Hickory Run or Lehigh Gorge State Parks or passing through the western Pocono region.  Our store is located on Route 534 in the Lehigh Tannery just before the western entrance to the Hickory Run Park and across the Tannery Bridge from the Lehigh Gorge trail. 

 

The Depot has a wide selection of products including:

  • Groceries from essential package goods and ice to drinks, breakfast, lunch and  dinner supplies 
  • Camping equipment  including firewood, tarps, ropes and shovels
  • Fishing tackle and fresh bait
  • Hiking supplies including warm outer ware, water bottles and other trail supplies
 
The Depot also rents bikes and winter sports equipment.  Since we are located right next to the Lehigh Gorge trail on the Audubon Tour Route  , you can park your car near the store, walk in and rent a bike and be on the trail heading toward Jim Thorpe within minutes.  No need to ride a bus to the trail.  We are on it!

 

Maximize your time in the fun the Pocono region has to offer by calling ahead and placing your pick up order.  Download the order form and simply call 570-606-4325 during our hours of operation.  We will have your order ready when you arrive.

 

Free Wi-Fi is available for our patrons.  Come and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee or your favorite beverage, sit by the river on one of our picnic tables and watch the trains roll by.  Warm yourself with freshly brewed coffee or hot chocolate while you discover all the products the Tannery Depot has to offer. Bring the kids inside to enjoy the antique Lionel™ trains that run above the display racks.
